About Melissa

We help leadership teams turn strategy into execution by strengthening how they decide, communicate, and collaborate.

I've spent more than twenty years inside companies where culture was either the thing that made everything work or the thing that broke everything.

At Adobe, I helped build the people systems that powered its transformation from packaged software to the cloud. At Twitter, I built the organizational development function from the ground up as the company scaled from startup to global platform. At WeWork, I saw what happens when culture and strategy completely disconnect, and what it costs. At Udemy, I helped the company evolve into an enterprise education business, strengthening the leadership and culture practices that supported that shift.

Each of those experiences taught me something different. Together, they taught me the same lesson: the difference between companies that scale well and companies that stall almost always comes down to how people work together. How decisions get made. How information moves. How leaders show up. And whether anyone has bothered to design those things intentionally or just left them to chance.

Today, through my firm Daimler Partners, my team and I work with CEOs, Chief People Officers, and Chief Learning Officers who know something isn’t working but can’t always name it. We help them see it clearly. Then we help them fix it. Whether that’s coaching an executive through a critical transition, rebuilding how a leadership team operates, or redesigning the organizational systems that drive execution, we meet leaders where they are.

Our clients have included Disney, Pixar, Asana, C3 AI, Autodesk, the PGA, and Rubrik. I work with leaders globally, with deep expertise in Silicon Valley technology companies and organizations throughout Europe and the Middle East.

I’m the author of ReCulturing: Design Your Company Culture to Connect with Strategy and Purpose for Lasting Success (McGraw-Hill). I write regularly for Forbes and have been published in Harvard Business Review and Fast Company. My Substack, ReCulturing, explores how we can keep evolving how we work, lead, and live. I’m a TEDx speaker, have guest lectured at UC Berkeley, Wharton, and the Misk Foundation in Saudi Arabia, and am a frequent guest on leadership podcasts.

I was among the first professionals certified by the International Coaching Federation and hold additional certifications in leadership and team assessments. I earned my M.S. in Organizational Development from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business.

I also practice what I advise. I run on my own operating system: four values (Connection, Health, Impact, Design) with specific behaviors and practices I review daily, refine monthly, and evolve quarterly. When I work with executives, I help them build theirs.

Outside of work, I pride myself on being an Auntie to our growing family of 20+ nieces and nephews, reminding them that digital technology can be great, but getting together for dinner is just as important.

Don’t miss ReCulturing Substack Publications!

Based on my book, ReCulturing is about making work work. I write about leadership, culture, and what it takes to execute in the age of AI.
